"I Protest" is a rap song composed and performed by Kashmiri singer MC Kash in 2010. He wrote it based on that year's Kashmiri resistance movement against the Indian government. During clashes between the police and civilians, more than 100 Kashmiri citizens were killed by Indian security forces.

Kash wrote in his song: "These are the tales from the dark side of a murderous regime/an endless occupation of our land and our dreams" and "I protest, until my freedom has come". Under Indian law, as it is illegal to question India's rule over Kashmir; as a result, the lyrics were considered "incitement" under Indian law. With the lines "It's an organized genocide/sponsored media who hide this homicide", Kash criticizes the local media for biased reporting. The song became a theme song of the Kashmir protest, with the song becoming a popular chant during protests.
