From September 27th to December 1st, 2019, the June 4th Museum held the "Fifth Anniversary of the Umbrella Movement" themed exhibition. Through this exhibition, the Museum called for developing democratic systems of government a reality in China and Hong Kong. The exhibition contained materials related to the Umbrella Movement, the development of social movements since then, and the recent Anti-Amendment Movement. Also, through a short VR video presented by Amnesty International, the exhibition helped viewers experience what it was like to be on the ground as the Occupy movement was happening. The exhibition also featured a variety of memorabilia, and works and publications by different artists. These included the "Umbrella Sketches" created by Fong So, and the table that artist Kacey Wong used in the occupied area to create "Umbrella Movement Blind Drawings" of protesters. Wong also visited the June 4th Museum in person to draw portraits of visitors.
